Does anyone remember back in the Unison days when Celine spoke in English her accent was really thick. Her English really wasn't very good at all. Now when she speaks she does it so comfortably and her accent has gone away so much. Obviously you can tell English isn't her first language, but her accent isn't very promenant anymore. The other thing is that when she sings, she has NO accent whatsoever. Before I even knew who she was, but still heard some of her songs, I totally thought she was from an English speaking country.

Even back in her Unison days when her spoken English wasn''t so great, she still had literally NO accent when she sang. She's speaking so right now! She has a beautiful accent and is very understandable I just wish she thought about every single word before speaking out, like when talking about Kara DioGuardi she was like "some times I love her to hate her That's what I've always loved about her.

Even though English isn't her first language, you can't tell when she sings. Anyway, I found her switching of accents interesting. I don't think one would find that sort of thing here in the US - I don't recall anyone speaking in a British accent while in Britain or singing or performing in British English. I look here in the states, and people pretty much preserves their own regional accents but articulating their words more.

Or in Tagalog, I wouldn't change my Manila accent I'd just speak more carefully. I could be wrong since I'm not a native speaker, but that's my impression.
