Why do wow players hate hunters

Later, a group of night elves, inspired by Illidan's example, made a pact to turn the Burning Legion's powers against it, fighting destruction with destruction.

Obviously they could not gain their powers in the same way Illidan did, but they discovered other means. In the millennia since, other night elves, and a few creatures of other races, have made the same pact, binding demonic essence in their bodies and using it to destroy the Legion's minions.

Demon hunters have a variety of abilities that assist them in destroying demons, though the power coursing through their bodies also allows them to prevail over lesser foes. Demon hunters eschew heavy armor, valuing mobility and speed. As a demon hunter grows in power, they undergo a gradual evolution, becoming more and more demonic in appearance. The changes are cosmetic and can take many different forms, from burning eyes to black blood.

By the time demon hunters reaches the pinnacle of their development, they are a twisted and dark version of their former selves. Though the chaotic energy in their body does not affect their personality or allegiance so the demon hunters claim , it wreaks great changes on their physical form.

Their gradual evolution achieves its pinnacle as they become a demonic entity. Their appearance has changed to something frightening: changes can include glowing red eyes, horns, clawed feet and hands, wings, cloven hooves, a spiked tail, dark skin, a deep, rumbling voice, and similar cosmetic changes.

The demon hunter becomes an outsider. They mainly use fel and shadow energy. They can channel the chaos energy within them into a melee weapon to increase its powers. In time they become more proficient in channeling demonic energy into their weapons, and highly skilled demon hunters are adept at this technique. Demon hunters have shown the ability to cover their bodies in a shell of flame.

They can also unleash the demon in them and temporarily turn themselves into something more. Playable demon hunters are immortal. They cannot be permanently killed. Illidan revealed this during the demon hunter starting experience; their soul will make its way to the Twisting Nether.

There, they will wait until they find a suitable body to inhabit. It is unknown if this pertains to all demon hunters or just playable demon hunters, although there is one who was revived by Kil'jaeden in the Twisting Nether which suggests that not just playable demon hunters are immortal.

Though equipment obviously varies between them, one universal element of the order seems to be the blindfold. Used to conceal the remains of the demon hunters' mutilated eye sockets, the demon hunter blindfold is usually some dark but mundane-looking fabric. Blindfolds are occasionally neglected, perhaps to make the demon hunter appear more frightening and intimidating.

A second common occurrence among demon hunters is the tendency for males to be stripped to the waist, which is just one display of the demon hunters' emphasis on the importance of agility and general rejection of heavier armor.

Those female demon hunters that have surfaced have been similarly garbed, wearing only the bare minimum of clothing on their upper bodies, sometimes even nothing at all. Demon hunters further tend to wear what appears to be cloth or leather, favoring greater speed and agility on the battlefield. Demon hunters carry large, curved warglaives in the style of Illidan Stormrage's Twin Blades of Azzinoth. Though the exact reason for this tendency isn't explained, there are several possible reasons.

One is that this kind of weapon has simply become a tradition over the years, later demon hunters mimicking the first of their kind. Another is that this style of curved warglaives is common among the kind of demons that demon hunters have to kill as part of their basic initiation process.

A third explanation is that the dual-bladed nature of their large, curved weapons allows them to deal the most damage with the least amount of effort, allowing them to focus on their agility and speed. A final explanation is that this kind of weapon is somehow easier to magically charge or channel through. These blades appear as a strange cross between a small buckler and a sharp-looking, curved, two-bladed short sword. The demon hunters of the night elves wear these blades while they hunt the minions of the Scourge , the Burning Legion, or other dark adversaries.

While many demon hunters rely on non-magic weapons, eventually most have either one of these double blades or a matching pair.

The use of such weapons tells a lot about the individual wielding them. The inwardly-curving nature of the blades means that demon hunters must get extremely close to their opponent in order to get maximum use of the blades.

The glaives would be swung in wide arcs at extreme speed, viciously lacerating the foe. More often than not, the warglaives will have intricate serrations on the outer edge of the blade near the central buckle, adding yet another facet to the brutal nature of the weapons. The impressively damage-producing Hyena is only available to Tauren, Trolls, and Orcs early on. By contrast, all Alliance races will get an early opportunity to tame what is arguably the most effective PvP pet in the game, the spider.

Note: Undead Hunters start with a spider as a pet. The easiest way to progress through the early levels is to simply complete all of the quests you can find. Not only will you breeze through the first 5 to 10 levels, but you'll get useful gear and precious money. Obviously money is also important for purchasing personal items such as potions, jewelery, food, armor, weapons, etc. You should spend levels near your starting town. Most everything needed at these early levels can be obtained there from one or the other vendor.

Likewise, any inventory loot you've gathered hunting can be sold to these same vendors. Also, this is where you're going to begin questing and figure out the most efficient ways to go about this most important of tasks.

Make sure you get all the abilities and spells you can from your trainer. Between level 5 and 6 you'll find yourself heading off to your second town and a new trainer who can teach you upgraded versions of your skills and abilities. At the second town, repeat the process—do each and every quest you can find. It's important to keep up with your abilities and your gear. Now is also an appropriate time to start training in your chosen professions. It is especially important for a Hunter to complete all the quests available because of the cash that is needed at level 10 to learn all of the Pet-related abilities.

There are at least 7 abilities that become available from Hunter trainers at level 10, and each of them costs money to learn. The Hunter will need to have more cash than other classes at this level just to keep up. Initially, you're equipped with a ranged attack, melee attack, and Arcane Shot.

You can also learn Track Beasts to help with your awareness of the field. Begin each fight at maximum range and start with your ranged attack.

Your character will automatically attack until the target is too close. At roughly that point, you will enter automatic melee combat. For orcs , this would be a good opportunity to buff your melee attack with your Blood Fury racial ability. Trolls can use their Berserking ability to attack a bit faster.

Many times, however, your pet will be dealing more damage than you are, so the mob will stop to defend itself from your pet. Having a pet tank for you is one of your best strategies throughout the game. To maintain this, don't use Arcane Shot right away, but let your pet attack and hold the target's focus before you let loose.

It is a good idea to practice kiting from early in the game, if you intend to PvP at all seriously it is also useful for PvE, allowing a great deal more DPS and survivability. The basic idea is to get someone to follow you while you deal damage. Hunters were made for kiting. There are a couple of ways to go about this. You can also practice the strafe kite. You can run away from the target at a slight angle and shoot backwards by strafe-running in the opposite direction, because your ranged attack will work degrees in front of you.

Because you can run as fast the mob like this, they don't catch up to you. Try it out at this low level so you can get used to it now because it will be a nifty way to out-maneuver melee-class players in PvP later on. Be aware that, unlike PvP players, mobs will chase you for only so far and then give up and run back to their original position.

While they're running back, they will be immune to attack, and will instantly heal themselves so you'll have to start over. There is one game-related option available to all classes that most benefits the Hunter.

This is the click-to-move option available in the Options panel, under the "Mouse" menu item. Click-to-Move allows you to right-click on a spot of terrain, and your character will immediately start moving towards that spot. You can also right-click on a target, and you will start running towards and battling that target. Only for the Hunter class does this work differently. When the Hunter right-clicks on a target to click-to-move, you will run towards the target, but the Auto-Shot is triggered when the target becomes in range of your ranged weapon, meaning that you will being firing arrows from 40 yds away automatically.

This comes in extremely handy when you also have to control your pet. At level 3, you can learn Steady Shot , which is important because it returns more focus to you. This will be more relevant when you learn to control your pet later on.

For right now, it's a good focus-friendly DPS strike while your pet is tanking. This is not a shot you want to use while being charged. At level 4, you learn to track beasts. Right now, regular hunters have it easy. Try being a mechagnome or a demon hunter. Accidently clicking on a boss and auto attack pulling it. Despite all of this able to get away scott free with FD. Edit: also rolling need on all weapons. I find Pet Pathing to be funny in this game.

Hunters who use barrage while aiming at a single target with multiple packs of mobs behind it. It was a legit label in the early days. Comment by Hyperlynx The items tab for this page should include every item in the game.

Comment by When rogues do it from behind, we do it from 35yards away Poor rogues Comment by CreantheHuntard A bit surprised there were no comments about how we have so earned the nickname "Huntard" from the rest of the Wow community. Comment by matoh for hunter that wish to prepare for Cataclysm i strongly recommend bigredkitty , he's a great hunter, even has an epic Gun named after him.

Comment by Here are some websites that you can visit if you have any doubts or questions for some of the best hunters in the world: - Kripparrian - WoW. In these websites you can find videos, posts, and guides to help you in those kind of things. I hope this helped. Comment by Me myself having a hunter as there main Character.

For questing beast Mastery is easy to do and exotic pets taming is a big plus. If you dual spec i find survival and Marksmanship both good. Though the damage Marks does is better but Survival makes you a harder to kill target. Hunter is a good class for PvP at higher levels also. Comment by Lazurianis Ive actually found a bug that requires relogging.

Lets say you are on your mount doing a quest or you portal into a battleground, next thing you know "Hey, my pet is summoned but there is no pet command bar! This should resolve the problem.

Happy Hunting! Comment by Hunter: The official survival guide! Raid group: Can we eat it? Comment by HandofDeath Call Pet 5 does this mean you can have 5 pets out at once? Comment by Hunters: the best class to play if you're ever in the mood for the most disgustingly unbalanced and unfair pvp at low levels. Make a hunter, give him boas, get him to level 10 and get your pet. Start to queue for WSG. At the lowest possible level for the bracket 10 you can be top damage in the BG.

My records were usually about 25 kills and 2 deaths at level 10 also. By level 12 ish you can be the undisputed best player in the bg usually except if there's another similar, higher level hunter.

By level 15 you are a god. I literally level a hunter to 10 and do pure BGs in and , then delete him , and do it again. Blizzard has no intentions of balancing low level pvp and never will. So if you're ever in the mood Comment by Rorixis Hunter pet for undead is currently a spider with a web ability. Comment by leoaguiar Behold! Patch 4. Comment by AmaHC Also you cannot tame bosses. Comment by Plus Thrall is not a druid.

Comment by I will always keep calling this class "Pokeman Trainer" bcuz they can carry 5 pets in you and 20 pets in stable! Like how the game goes :D. Comment by I hope they add skins like this one to other tameable pets to fit with forsaken hunters.

Comment by Did anyone else get kinda upset when blizz fixed , updated , remodeled , screwed up hunters? I also miss the eyes of the beast and the mana bar. Any thoughts? Tame a turtle, call it blastois. Tame a fox, call it Vulpix. Tame a monkey, call it Ambipom. Tame a worm, call it Ekans. Tame a beetle, call it Heracrox. Tame a bird, name it Pidgey. Tame a cat, call it Persian. Make a guild called. Comment by I am a lvl 53 hunter for the hordeside and i am curious what is the best pet i have a spider who throws his own traps using web which i find benifical but i have also herd that raptors make a good pet im going to check it out anyone have any advice for me on making my hunter all that he can be?

Comment by In Cataclysm, throw weapon is not available for hunters any more. Any one notice that? I have to commit that throw weapon is not useful for hunters. However it's a pity for RP hunter players, especially Troll. Troll hunter using a javelin is so cool just like a headhunter.

Now I need to reroll a troll warrior or rogue to cosplay headhunter. I really wish Blizzard can give throw weapon to hunter back. Comment by SgtFrog I was leveling in Westfall the other day when I accidentally pulled aggro off my wolf pet. There was this odd "dooomm" sound effect and then the mob came running after me. I tried this with several different mobs, so it's not just some sort of bug.

Also, I am a BM hunter, if that helps. Comment by guatafu Dear blizzard: please give worgs as starting pets to the orcs. Give something else to humans like an eagle or whatever.

Comment by Hunters Amazing when played right. Comment by What are the differences in the three specs? Besides your game play? I have been looking for info on this and I can't find any. I have been a druid for so long but now I have a lvl 60 hunter I have been working on. The three specs are a bit confusing to me.

Any advice? Comment by behunter Hunters PvP is a completely different story. Pets aren't nearly as helpful because most players know and exploit the hunter's one weakness, they can do almost literally nothing if there target is within 5 yards of them.

Plus, you can make a Hunter of any race you want as long as you don't want to be a Gnome. Comment by coolyellow In this post, I will be giving a brief overview of each spec that a hunter can choose. I will also be including a basic look at the type of rotation you will encounter using each tree. The rotations come mainly from Warcraft Hunter's Union , ElitistJerks , the Hunter forums , or from personal knowledge.

They focus mostly on using powerful, instant cast shots that do all their damage at once, such as AiS. Although their focus isn't on DoTs, they do use two: as all hunters do, plus Careful Aim which procs off of their array of already powerful shots. With their tree specific , they can either get out of a sticky jam, or dish out a second to down that boss that much quicker. At higher levels, they will get a proc off of which will basically make a free explosion of damage.

Most of their total damage however comes from Steady Shot and their final talent ability, Chimaera Shot. So, during your rotation, you will need to keep in mind to always fire them off in 2s. It is in your best interest to shoot this immediately once off cooldown. AS is only used for when you would cap out on focus with your two mandatory steadies while waiting for CS to finish cooling down.

Beast Mastery: Basically what it sounds like. This tree is usually preferred to use while leveling because with the right type of pet typically a turtle or beetle , you have your own mini tank that does whatever you tell it to. It is also almost always required for extreme soloing when you try to down raid or heroic bosses alone.

Their adequately named final talent, Exotic Beasts , lets them tame exotic pets and their pets get more talent points. Since KC is on a 6 second CD, your rotation really goes in 6 second increments.

There are 3 longer Cooldowns that this tree has to offer: Fervor , and Bestial Wrath. Fervor is pretty simple; it instantly gives 50 focus to you and your pet. The way Focus Fire behaves is that every time your pet does a basic attack every 3 seconds your pet gains a stack of Frenzy , which stacks to 5. It lasts 20 seconds, has a 15 second CD, and it takes 15 seconds for Frenzy to stack to full.

Bestial Wrath is your hard hitting CD. You should be able to do 2 KC and AS by the end of the duration. Survival: Survival hunters can be summed up with two words: DoTs and traps. That is how they function. They get talents to increase the effectiveness of their traps, namely , and most of their main shots are in fact DoTs.

These guys are very useful in raids and high level dungeons because on top of an improved , they also get Wyvern Sting as a backup or secondary crowd control method. Like I said, these guys are about DoTs. Their two main abilities, ES and their final talent, BA , are in fact both DoTs, and work together in unison thanks to and.

Also, the class universal gets even stronger thanks to Noxious Stings , Toxicology , and their mastery ability,. Plus, thanks to Serpent Sting , they also have the highest AoE damage of all the trees. Rotation: The survival rotation is a pure priority system that you will need to constantly make judgement calls on what to do next.

So every 6 seconds, you will need to have enough focus for ES, which is a fair amount. This is all much easier now that we have more focus thanks to the t13 2-piece bonus. AS will only ever be used if you will have enough focus for ES right when it comes off CD, such as when you are about to focus cap. When procs off of your BA or traps , things change dramatically.

The main problem here is that under most conditions, the DoTs that ES actually applies will not have enough time and they will be clipped short. Comment by Any other hunters out there miss Eyes of the Beast? You'd like to stay up the rock and use Eagle Eye to report how the bases are going. It's just a simple trick which ALOT of hunters do not know of.

Alot of people are crying about the 5 yd deadzone, but we have ALOT of tools to negate that. Comment by bratmonkey what makes hunters immune to cc? Comment by I've done everything the "book" says to do I'm 85 with a resilience of friggin' ?
