For bluray video, it's not much better, if at all, than my newer, much less expensive sony player, but it's still excellent, and the audio from all blurays is noticeably better.
Being 8 years old, it's response time on the remote control functions are a bit slow, but not a problem. The best quality analog stereo audio I ever heard from digital player. I do prefer the audio quality of the Oppo 95 over the Oppo I did own a but sold it. The 95 is more natural and musical than the The tends to be a tad bright and causes listening fatigue.
The 95 does not. Picture quality is great. Build quality seems very substantial. My favorite digital audio component of all time. This is by far the best sounding transport I've ever owned.
It's far more detailed than the Oppo bdp Visually they are no different. I'm using the hdmi for theater and the analog stereo outputs for music. Sounds superb through my Arcam. It's a shame Oppo is no longer building transports. Skip to main content.
