Borderlands which class

Roland is the most well-rounded character in the game, and for those that choose to play alone, he's the easiest to grasp. His primary perk is the Scorpio Turret, which can serve a few different purposes. When fighting less intelligent enemies like Skags and Spiderants, it's a perfect diversionary weapon that will allow you to strafe around and reach your foes' weak spots.

It also provides cover when crouching, and can deal some offensive damage, especially when powered up with the right skills and artifacts. It's range is only degrees, however, so more intelligent enemies may just get behind it. Roland's skills afford him some major perks for Combat Rifles and Shotguns, so he's going to be the best character for those that prefer to fight at mid-range. He's a tough fighter, and his perks offer some serious offensive and defensive boosts that make him a mean fighter.

Those that prefer to play solo will likely gravitate to this class. The Soldier can also be effective in a team situation. He has abilities like Cauterize open to him that make him and effective medic, and other bonuses to the Scorpio turret that will help your allies regenerate ammo and health.

The Soldier is an excellent team player with the proper specs, although these might be different than the best solo specs. The four classes are:. Borderlands 2 redraws the playing field with a new set of character classes that players may select from. The original cast from Borderlands returns in supporting roles. Borderlands 2 has been created with the capacity to accommodate additional characters from DLCs:.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel brings four vault hunters who are NPCs or significant characters in previous games, with the exception of Aurelia who work for Handsome Jack and assist in his rise to power, whilst searching for a new vault on Pandora's moon, Elpis. Borderlands 3 has four vault hunters, with no new ones planned to be added, although there are plans to add additional skill trees to the current characters. She has tons of area-of-effect abilities that make it easy to take out enemies that surround you.

One such ability is called Phaselock. Siren creates a bubble that traps enemies inside it and makes them float.

When fully upgraded, Phaselock deals an insane amount of damage that kills enemies in an instant. Your playstyle when playing Siren should focus on using Phaselock as much as you can. It has the lowest cooldown out of any other ability. Even if you are a solo player, she will shine due to her abilities, but her full potential comes out when you play with a team.

Maya is extremely strong against smaller enemies and even some of the larger bosses. If you want to get through the campaign quickly, I would suggest choosing her. You cannot go wrong with choosing the Commando class. Axton is an all-around character that is recommended to every new player.

Even fans of playing solo will love this character as he is one of the best in that field. Axton does not rely on teams and can carry the whole game solo.

On top of that, his unique class ability is the Sabre Turret. You can use the turret to force enemies to draw aggro towards it, so they do not attack you. This allows you to move around freely without taking any damage. It also allows you to regain your shields and fire from the side. Much like the Commando class, you have the option to summon a giant floating robot that draws aggro and fires at the nearest enemy. Gaige was introduced in a DLC and is perfect for players that prefer going in guns blazing.

She has tons of explosives in her arsenal and can destroy giant bosses easily. Mechromancer mostly deals with shock damage which is ideal when taking out enemy shields. That said, looking back Roland was just too plain-jane, no real flair. And everything that was lacking in the Commando class got mostly fixed in BL2 with Axton. It's a shame that the two play so similarly, if Axton wasn't a direct improvement, Roland might've gotten higher on this list.

Brick, like Krieg, really only finds his footing in the later levels. His most useful skills are later in his skill trees while the early game ones just make him a bit tankier. His ability is to go Berserk. During this, Brick takes less damage, and he also goes around punching everyone.

It's best to play Brick as a shotgun, rocket launcher, or melee focused character as he has specific skills that make those options even better.

Basically, Brick is great at endgame, but takes a bit to get there and has a niche playstyle which lands a bit lower in the rankings. Axton the Commando, the more mechanical evolved version of Roland. That said, Axton is about as boring as one could get design-wise, so at least Roland has more going for him. But what's so insane about Axton is that so many of his early game skills are great for all types of weapons, allowing him to be played a myriad of different ways from level one!

Basically, for a game entirely centered around guns, Axton's gun-buffing passive skills are second to none. Maya is a bit different from Lilith, she's not constantly hopping between dimensions to heal or do elemental AOE's. But, instead, she's trapping her enemies in a pocket dimension. Maya is the all-rounder of BL2 with her ability to shut down or nuke enemies with Phaselock, then unload clip after clip of elemental rounds into them.

Plus, Maya can be built tons of different ways.
